Most architects would agree that participating in an architectural competition is a resource-intensive commitment. At the same time, participation in architectural design competitions is a means of obtaining work and expressing an opinion in architectural practice.
The Competitions and a conscious practice course is one of the obligatory elective courses in the spring semester of 2022/2023. This course aims to present the complex and often controversial system of architectural competitions and prepare students to participate in them successfully. As part of this course, students can gain insight into the theoretical and legal background of architectural tenders, engage in professional debates, and gain routine in competing by taking part in mini-competitions announced during the semester.
